The Last of the Few
Published in Hardcover by Safari Press (15 February, 2000)
Average review score:

Consider This Essential Reading.Last 0f the Few is the amassed knowledge of a man who has spent nearly fifty years hunting in Africa. What started as a young boy's passion in Valencia has turned into a life that is legend among those safari buffs. Tony Sanchez-Arino surely takes his place among the great elephant hunter/writers near his old mentors J.A. Hunter, George Rushby, and the legendary "Karamojo" Bell, and Jim Sutherland. Elephants ar not the only area of hunting where he excells. He also shares his experiences with the rest of the Big Five, as well as rifles for African hunting, snakes, crocodiles, Bongo, and......man-eaters! This is a truly wonderfull "can't put it down" books. Stories like his a few and far between today. He is of a vanishing breed.

The law of delict
Published in Unknown Binding by Juta ()
Average review score:

still the bestThis is by far the best textbook on the South African law of delict (tort). The author has passed away, and the book will become progressively dated. It remains, however, unsurpassed for masterful exposition of principle. The juxtaposition of terse, lucid text and detailed footnotes is perfect. The book is a casebook, with extracts as its main text. But it beats monographs for an overview.

Learning Through Play
Published in Unknown Binding by Tafelberg Publishers ()
Average review score:

developmental psychology in an easy-to-read-textThis book is easy to read, and the scientific data on development is put into day-to-day activities and tasks, which makes it easy to relate to. The book talks about development week by week, month by month, how the child is developing and what you can do as a parent to guide your child's development; which toys are good, when crucial periods take place for learning certain tasks etc. The photographs in the book are also very illustrative, and makes the book a fun-read as well. I would recommend this book for all parents. Wouldn't we have a better world if every parent would have to read this kind of literature? I am a developmental psychologist and Ph.D.-trainee in educational psychology. I just had my first child and I loved this book.

The Legacy : President Clinton's Legacy to Africa

The best book of the African LegecyI feel that this book is on of the best books that I have ever read. This book is filled with wonderful pictures, and wonderful things that the Bill Clintons Legecy to Africa ment to the people. It's amazing that a person in less then two months can come up with such a wonderful book. It is a part of histery. I feel that at my age it is a book to share with the childern. I also feel that as my aunt she is a very talented woman. I have shared this book with many people and I feel that there are many more things to come from this wonderful book.

The Legacy of Arab-Islam in Africa
Published in Paperback by Oneworld Publications Ltd (01 December, 2001)
Average review score:

A Brave New Look at the History of Islam in AfricaThis book gives an entirely new perspective on the history of the spread of Islam in Africa. It argues that while Christianity has had a great deal written about its negative impact on African culture and religions, and its role in the slave trade, Islam on the hand has been perceived as a natural fit for the Africans and one which spread without resort to violence, slavery and other sins that Christians were guilty of. Azumah argues credibly that this perception is biased and uncritical. And that the evidence would suggest otherwise. An excellent read for those interested in the history of religion in Africa.

The Legend of the African Bao-Bab Tree
Published in Paperback by Africa World Press (September, 1995)
Average review score:

Good African material!I liked this book because it took me to a far away land with lots of wild animals and gave me a look at the land and food they ate. I liked the bright colors and the stormy weather. I think the tree made a mistake complaining so much to the Great Spirit of the Wild Plains. He was ok. with all his leaves and was really big. He should have been happy the way he was! I hope I can see more books like this one.

Lemurs On Location
Published in Library Binding by HarperCollins (March, 1998)
Average review score:

Wonderful! This book has wonderful photographs and wonderful text. A child could easily understand and learn a lot from this book. The beautiful pictures help us see the lemurs in their natural habitat and help you to recognize the different species of lemurs. The book is full of interesting facts that are written in a way to help you remember them for a long time. For example, I will always remember that sifakas never drink liquid, but get all of the water they need from their diet of leaves. I'll always remember how the ringtail lemurs engage in stink fights, by getting the scent (which the opposing lemur finds so offensive, but humans can't smell), all over their tail and lashing it out at the other lemur. Through the beautiful photographs and the wonderfully crafted writing even a child can come to better understand the world of lemurs.

The Leopards of Londolozi
Published in Paperback by Londolozi Pub (July, 1997)
Average review score:

The Londolozi Experience-SupurbI visited Londolozi in May 2001 for 4 days. Incredible experience. I saw this book there. Someone had brought it with him to Londolozi, but was unable to purchase a copy in South Africa. I want this book very much and have Amazon.com looking for one for me. It is a wonderful book. Would it benefit someone who had not been to Londolozi? Yes, very much!
Once you see the leopards of Londolozi you're life is changed forever. It's in the catagory of seeing the Northern Lights. You are never the same again.
Do purchase this book-----but only after I get a copy of my own.
